Bonding

This is a technique long used in cosmetic dentistry. It involves the use of a composite resin that bonds to the teeth— it helps to repair chipped or broken teeth or fill in gaps—
enhancing your smile.

The composite resin filling used for bonding procedures can be placed in the back or front teeth. It will depend on where you need it.

The process involves applying a tooth-colored plastic material, which is then sculpted into the proper shape. A high-intensity light is used to harden the material. Finally, the surface is polished.

If you have chipped, cracked, discolored or uneven teeth, bonding may be an appropriate solution for you. Bonding is also used as an alternative in repairing decayed teeth, replacing amalgam fillings and for gum recession.
